A disappointing qualifying session for the team.

Both boats suffered some minor engine issues which didn’t allow Alberto or Brock to put in their best lap times.

The team are working now to fix the issues and we will be ready to go for race one at 12pm local time.

The Comparato F1 Team today announced that Australian driver Brock Cohen will race alongside Alberto Comparato in the 2023 UIM F1H2O World Championship.

Brock finished twelfth in todays Grand Prix of Portugal II in Vila Velha de Ródão.

We just didn’t have the pace this weekend to fight for points but overall are happy with two full Grand Prix’s completed and the boat in one piece.

We unfortunately finish P16 in qualifying after only completing four laps before experiencing a major gearbox failure.

Brock ends up twelfth in his first UIM F2 World Championship Grand Prix.

Brock crossed the finish line in eleventh but received a one lap penalty due to destroying a turn buoy while trying to make a pass for position in the opening laps.

Our entire team did an amazing job and worked flawlessly all week - thank you. There is still lots to improve with boat set up, so we can try again to get a points finish at the next race.

We are back on the water this Saturday and Sunday for the final round of the 2022 championship at Vila Velha de Ródão

Brock misses out on the top ten by 0.44 of a second.

Q1 in very rough conditions saw Brock sitting in P9 almost the entire session but as conditions improved he fell back to P12. This was still enough to advance into Q2.

After a near thirty minute delay due to the strong winds, the remaining fifteen competitors went out for Q2. Again Brock got as high as ninth but as the checkered flag fell, he finished eleventh.

The team are happy with the performance and improvements in such a short time. There is still plenty to work on and it’s a long race tomorrow.

The COHEN Performance race van is all set for the long 3,000km drive from Northern England to Lisbon Portugal.

The team have been working hard behind the scenes to get everything organised and to be prepared as best as possible for the final two races of the 2022 UIM F2 World Championship.
