Damon went out in this mornings race and battled it out with Simon Troy for the whole race to come across the line in 1st place and win his first ever Grand Prix Race! This set Damon up in a good position for the final race which was unfortunately red flagged due to an incident half way through the first lap. Damon’s efforts over the last two days was enough to put him 3rd overall for the round.

Brock’s race this morning was very hard fought, dropping back to 4th place during the first lap to pushing his way up to 2nd and having a heated battle with Kevin Parker who went on to win the race with Brock able to fend off Peter Cochrane and come home 2nd. The final race saw Brock come across the finish line in a comfortable 2nd place after some pressure from Adam Breen in the early stages of the race. Brock’s consistency gave him 2nd overall and a good balance of points towards the championship.
Damon and Brock would like to thank all AFPGP committee members who made this possible as well to our crew for this weekends race: Johnny and Sharon, Brian Clark, Dave Connolly, Brit, Cathy and Craig.
Its been a great event and we cannot wait for next years Grand Prix of Newcastle!
