This weekend Damon will compete in the final round of the British National F2 Championship at the Lancashire Powerboat Racing Club on Carr Mill Dam in St Helen’s.

An opportunity from the Whittle family, which only arose in the last 24hrs, will see Damon pilot the Powertech Marine Ltd. #31 F2 Baba alongside the teams #30 F2 Moore of Sam Whittle.

Thank you to Tracey Pugsley and Kim Bull from the Australian Power Boat Association for jumping onto the administrative side of things at last minute notice to assist in making this opportunity possible.

A fantastic day for #DC55 & the #EagleF1

Damon was able to qualify P1 for both the Riverside Trophy & Champions of Champions, winning the Riverside final and coming a hard fought second in the Champions of Champions race.

Here is where we aim to be over the next three months with the Eagle Development Group F1

We will start next weekend at the Dargle Water Ski Park Winter Spectacular for the Arch Spooner Australian Unlimited Outboard & Jack Howarth NSW Unlimited Outboard Titles.

Then we plan to head south to Lake Eppalock to attempt some speed records at the Victorian Speed Boat Club Kilos event.

In July we will aim to contest for the Champions of Champions & Riverside Trophy races at the St. George Power Boat Club for their Speedboat Spectacular which has a total prize purse of $40,000!

Following this, we will go to the Upper Hawkesbury Power Boat Club in Windsor to test at their club day in August in preparation for the Ron Beasley Unlimited Outboard Shield at the Spectacular in September.

Our long time and loyal team sponsor, Glenn Eagle, has recently taken ownership of a GTR hull which is currently being rigged to compete in some of the countries top unlimited outboard races.

There have been some big changes and announcement’s in recent weeks regarding the grid for the 2024 #F1H2O World Championship.

As a result of the news of Alberto Comparato joining the Abu Dhabi Team, ComparatoF1 at this point in time, will not be racing in this year’s series.

Again, we would like to thank everyone for all the support. It is amazing to have so many people backing us. We exceeded expectations and showed that we are capable and worthy of racing at the top level of this sport.

The future for Cohen Bros Racing right now is unknown, but as always, we try go bigger and better each year, and are working behind the scenes on some exciting prospects.

A big congratulations to Alberto on his amazing opportunity and we wish him all the best for 2024!

Our best points finish of the year in the 2023 #F1H2O finale at the Grand Prix of #Sharjah!

Brock got a great start and was with the leading boats to the first turn. He made his way up to 6th while managing intermittent trim issues. When these issues weren’t present, Brock was matching the pace of the boats in front of him.

He lost out on the yellow flag restart, dropping to 8th but then recovered to 7th but couldn’t get his 6th position back.

Post race we later found that we had broken the mid section so we were extremely lucky to even finish the race at all.

Thank you to everyone for your support all year, to our hard working crew and all our sponsors and partner’s - we appreciate everything you have done for us.

Thank you to Comparato Racing for a solid first season together and let’s bring on an even bigger and better 2024.

Saturday Sprint 

Brock had a poor start in the sprint and lost out at the first turn but managed to recover to battle again for 6th in the opening laps before the trim stuck all the way out for a quarter of a lap which dropped him back a position.

Due to an incident the race finished under yellow and Brock crossed the line back in 6th position.

Tomorrow morning we have Free Practice 2 followed by the Grand Prix of Sharjah in the afternoon.
